Bessie Alexander

Bessie Leon Alexander, 101, died March 1, 2005 at her home in Port Orchard, Washington. She was born in Hickman, Nebraska on August 16, 1903 to Howard and Julia (Liesveld) Martin. Bessie married Harry Ozenbaugh on March 31, 1924 and J.H. Alexander on March 14, 1960. Bessie was a homemaker and a member of Prundale Grange in California for 50+ years. She enjoyed sewing, tatting, and game shows. Most important to her were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Surviving are son Harry Ozenbaugh of San Marcos, California; daughter LaVerne Boltz of Port Orchard; grandchildren Larry, Karen, Mike, Rick, Lori, Glenn, Kim, Donald, Keith & Peggy; great-grandchildren Kim, Dave, Stan, Ryan, Erica, Andrew, Sharyn, Shawna, Tracy, Stephen, Graham, Paige, Ryan, Katy; great-great-grandchildren Lindsey, Steven, Michael, Madeline, Houston, Ceirra, Tristin, Joe, Jessie, Tara, Tyler & Jamie. Bessie was preceded in death by sisters Mary, Sadie, Estella & Rosella; brother Ralph; grandchild Robert; daughter-in-law Donna Ozenbaugh; and son-in-law Don Boltz. Inurnment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County.
