Christopher Charles Castro of Port Orchard, WA passed away unexpectedly on November 28th, 2022. His family is mourning as they lost a loved one at the young age of 45. He was the son of Vicente Pablo Castro Sr and Pacita Castro-Quichocho.
Chris was born on December 7th, 1976 and was raised in Port Orchard, WA while spending a short time on the island of Guam from 1988- 1990. He was a graduate of South Kitsap High School (95’) and attended Universal Technical Institute of Phoenix where he received a HVACR Technician degree. He spent many years in several areas of his profession and most recently worked under the position labeled Comfort Specialist, which suited his personality. Many in the profession respected his work ethic and ability to do it all.
When he was away from work Chris enjoyed camping, being on the water and coaching his boys in baseball. Known for his BBQ food and infectious personality, he made everyone feel like family. As a coach he taught so many young men not just about the game, but also about being a respectful person. This is something he took pride in and was doing in his final moments here on earth.
Anyone who knew Chris, also knew he wore his heart on his sleeve and was honest about his thoughts (whether you liked it not). His biggest passion however, was his family. The love he had for his soulmate (Megumi) and 4 kids (Koichi, Kohana, Kahtai, Kaiyah) was second to none. He would do anything to ensure they were taken care of. A selflessness that was hard to match at any level.
Chris will be missed by so many, but his memory will live on through the many lives he affected. His amazing smile, boisterous laugh and great sense of humor can never be replaced. He is survived by his loving family: mother Pacita Taijeron Castro-Quichocho, significant other Megumi Brady, children Koichi, Kohana, Kahtai, Kaiyah Castro, Puppies Kubo and Kuna, Siblings Claretta (Mike) Wakita, Celina (Elias) Sablan, Boya (Lindsey) Quichocho, Nieces and Nephews; Aniscia Wakita, Tiara Sablan, Tarina Sablan, Vince (Nicole) Sablan, Elias (McKayla) Sablan, Nola Quichocho. He was preceded in death by his father Vicente Castro Sr, Brother Vicente Castro Jr and Nephew Hunter Castro.
