Emmet D. McEdward of Port Orchard, WA died February 1, 2007 at Harrison Medical Center, Bremerton, WA. He was 73. He was born May 21, 1933 in Goldendale, WA to Norman and Veta (Dearinger) McEdward. Emmett married JoAnn (Killam) McEdward in Port Orchard, WA on January 16, 1954. He served in the U.S. Navy. He also worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a top notch electrician; and, later managed the All Star Boat and Mini Storage in Belfair. He enjoyed fishing, cooking; loved nature, wildlife and kids. Emmet is survived by his wife, JoAnn McEdward of the Port Orchard, WA. family home; son - Don McEdward (Linda) of Cashmere, WA.; daughter Janet Selig (Mike) of Port Orchard, WA.; brothers - Eugene (Mary) McEdward, of Tacoma, WA., Kenneth (Terri) McEdward of Port Orchard, WA., James (Michelle) McEdward of Juneau, AK, Ed (Judy) McEdward of Phoenix, AZ; sisters - Violet (Bob) Ganung of Seattle, WA, Veta (Carl) Cyr of Yakima, WA; Grandchildren (5): Michael (Brittney) McEdward of Cashmere, WA., Christopher (Andrea) McEdward of Wenatchee, Katherine (Justin) Simmons of Wenatchee, Valerie Selig (Mark Cuevas) of Port Orchard, Stephanie (Royden) Phillips of Port Orchard; Great-grandchildren (6); many, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother - Clarence McEdward (2006). A memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
