Frances L Henderson

Frances L. Henderson, 87, of Port Orchard, died March 20th at Family First Adult Care Home in Gig Harbor. She was born May 13, 1925 in Hartford, WA to Frank & Robena Haverfield. She attended school in Lake Stevens and became a licensed Barber. In her early years she owned a Barber shop in the University District in Seattle and carried her license until she retired in 1988. Frances loved to swim & garden, enjoyed reading & writing and volunteered at Children's Hospital in Seattle. She was also a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. Survivors include her sons Jim & Dan (Susan) Whitford, daughters, Carol (Michael) Danielsen & Cherryl (Robin) Christman, 5 grandchildren - Shawn Whitford, Jill Danielsen, Jennifer Anderson, Max Redburn & Randi Leigh Redburn, 5 great grandchildren - Carolina, Banner, Magnolia & Augusta Whitford and Violet Frances Anderson. Frances was preceded in death by her husbands James Lee Whitford, Sr & Leslie J. Henderson, 5 siblings -Ed, Bert, Eleanor, Ruth & Jennie and a grandson Lee Danielsen.
