George Wetzel

George William Wetzel, 59, went to be with our Lord on November 14, 2009.  He was born August 8, 1950 in Bethlehem, PA to George Wetzel & Joan Taylor.  He graduated from Hellertown high school and attended Penn State University. He married Laura Richards in Illahee, WA on July 26, 2008. George worked as an Electronics Technician at Rotary Offset Press of the Seattle Times.  He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.  He enjoyed computers, working jigsaw puzzles on the computer, miniature trains and working with power tools.  He loved his John Deere tractor and doing outdoor work.  George enjoyed spending time with his family and was joy-filled, at peace, and a giver to all who asked for help. Surviving are wife Laura; daughters Jillian Wetzel & fiancé Josh Neff of Bremerton and Jennifer (Chad) Schieter of Everett; mother Joan Taylor of Hellertown PA; brothers Bruce of Plains PA, David (Cindi) of Bethlehem PA & Carlton (Lisa) of Hellertown PA; grandchildren Daniel, Isaac & Zachariah Schieter.  He was preceded in death by his father; Nana, Dorothy Taylor, aunt, Jean Ficzko & sister-in-law Nancy Wetzel. Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
