Jamey Kay Peterson was escorted to heaven by her father Randall and Sister/Best Friend Josey for a joyous reunion with God on May 5th. Jamey was an incredibly kind, funny, loving, intelligent and giving human being who enjoyed cinema, good literature, time with her loved ones, working hard and a fierce Pokey Mon Go battle. She almost caught them all! She was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Community Church. Jamey earned her degree at Western Washington University in education, while working as a server at Red Lobster. She worked as a substitute teacher for several years, she absolutely loved being a part of and encouraging the learning process of young minds. She worked at A-1 taxi for the last three years and far more often than not whoever got in her cab left the experience with a new friend. She was an excellent listener and provider of comfort. At the time of her passing she was attending California Southern University to fulfill her dream of becoming a counselor. She was extremely passionate about her interest in spending the rest of her life helping others conquer addiction. Jamey was a true lover of people. Her favorite kind of joy was seeing those she loved happy. Her laugh was legendary. Jamey leaves behind her beloved Mother Marion Peterson, life partner Paul Tatman, Uncle Lary and Aunt Jane, her merry band of cousins, her cat child Moses Jones and a huge extended family of amazing friends. Services and a light luncheon for Jamey will be held on May 15th at 1:00 pm at First Lutheran Community Church followed by a graveside service at Sunset Lane Memorial around 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, any donations made to her church is most appreciated.
