John L. Snodgrass, 63, of Bremerton, WA, died June 7, 2004, at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton. John was born April 12, 1941, in Jersey City, NJ, to James and Alice (Corcoran) Snodgrass. He went into the US Navy for 3 years, joined the US Marine Corps for 4 years, and then the US Navy again for another 20 years, retiring as a Fire Controlman First Class. John was an avid reader of science fiction. He is survived by a brother, James B. Snodgrass, of Hockessin, DE; sister, Patricia Rainoff, of Peekskill, NY; nephew, Douglas Rainoff, of Virginia; and nieces, Alisa Itri, of Atco, NJ, Brenda Barnett, of Marlton, NJ, and Deborah Dastick, of Bellmawr, NJ. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, June 13, 2004, at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, WA. A military graveside ceremony will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA, on Monday, June 14, at 10:30AM.
