May 13, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois Marjorie was born to Virdell and Eddie Jackson the oldest of their children and the second oldest of Eddie Jackson's children. Sunday October 30, 2022 around 1217pm Marjorie Henderson quietly exited her room at Peppies Hospice Center, Tucson, Arizona leaving behind 3 daughters, Sabrina, Gloria, and Carol. Son-in-law, Robert Jack, Grandchildren Rechelle, James Jr. Michael, Devonte, Devon Christopher, Taylor, Carmina, Great Grandchildren Dominique (RIH), Dante, Jaden, Tre, Christian, Dakari, Camden and Lyric. Three sisters, Carol Patterson, Harriet Gipson, and Patricia Scales, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marjorie is now with her family who preceded her: Husband - Louis J. Henderson, Mother - Virdell Warren, Step Mother Martha Dennis, Father - Eddie Jackson, Sister Virleen Ginn, Brother - Eddie Jackson Jr, Aunt - Marjorie Hurst, and Grandson Dominique Javon Carnes.
She went to Dunbar Vocational School where she pursued dressmaking and accomplished her first project...her Prom Dress. Louis J. Henderson actually took her in his military uniform to that prom and later became her Husband December 11, 1959.
This began the many years of traveling the world from New Mexico, Netherlands, New Mexico, Arkansas, Chicago, Washington State, United Kingdom, Georgia, and back to settle in Washington State. Retiring from the Military did not stop the travel path. They joined motor home clubs and started traveling full time after a while going to Japan, Korea, Alaska, England, Germany and darn near all 50 states and receiving a Presidential Coin while flying on Air Force 2.
Marge loved to bowl and started on leagues way back in 1962. She played 1st base on the spouses’ softball team well into her early 40's. She had a love for making ceramics and sewing for her children. She attended Olympic College as a Business Major.
Marge worked at Port Orchard, Convalescent Center, Forrest Ridge and finished out at Retsil as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant.
Marge had an extensive extended family, Edith and Princila, her childhood friends, Laverne and Tamella sister/cousins Esther Mendiola, Gwendolyn Wicker and Family, Jackie and Robert Bennett, Helen and Henry Dula, The Dewalt/Stevenson Family, Mrs. Pace & Family, The Burroughs, Valerie and Ralph Strickland the Bracken family, Gary Strickland, Dorothy Smith, John Klooz, Charles and Lola Lewis, her Basswood Lane neighborhood family and a host more. Several who preceded her recently, Edith Birch, Denise Williams, Nora Burroughs.
