Patricia Ann Amick, age 64 of Port Orchard, died May 12, 2017 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton with her family at her side.
Patricia was born November 6, 1952, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Raymond H. and Virginia E. (Poster) Seims. She spent her childhood years in Waite Park, Minnesota, Moving to Girard, Kansas as a teenager where she graduated from Girard High School. Pat attended Kansas State College of Pittsburg where she received a degree in Microbiology in 1974. She became a certified clinical laboratory microbiologist, employed at hospital Laboratories and public health agencies.
Patricia met Neal Amick in college, and were married May 1, 1981 in Johnson County, Kansas. They moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1983 and then to Port Orchard in 1996. Pat enjoyed needlework crafts including sewing and crouching making many beautiful afghan blankets. She enjoyed traveling especially on cruise ships. Pat was a loving and caring person, doing volunteer work for such organizations as the American Red Cross and South Kitsap County Food Bank.
She is survived by her husband Neal Amick of the home, Three Brothers David Seims, Jeffery Seims, and John Seims, two sisters, Susan Foster and Lisa Seims, and numerous nephews and nieces. Her brother Thomas preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at Gooseberry Falls, Minnesota, this summer.
