Robert Collins

Robert E. Collins, 57, of Belfair, WA, died April 27, 2006, in Bremerton, WA, of a heart attack. Robert was born August 23, 1948, in Bozeman, MT, to Boyd and Peggy (Johnson) Collins. He graduated from Manhattan High School in Manhattan, MT, in 1967. On August 21, 1987, Robert married Peggy (Roudybush)Collins in Belfair. He has worked for over 33 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton most recently as a ship safety inspector. Robert enjoyed gardening, bar-b-quing, fishing, boating, going to the mountains, hunting, and owning Ford trucks. He loved spending time with his family and friends, shopping for his grandchildren, and especially enjoyed his time with his wife on long trips and time on their beach oyster shucking. Robert is survived by his wife Peggy, of Belfair, WA; son Raymond Groves, of Florida; daughters Linda (Robert) Macero, of Grapeview, WA, and Jo Groves, of Port Orchard, WA; mother and stepfather Betty and Joe Parks, of Manhattan, MT; sisters Linda Diane (James) Wright, of Virginia, and Cammy (Mark) VanAntwerp, of Manhattan, MT; granddaughters Alix and Adrienne Macero, and grandsons Bobby and Eugene Macero; and nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Collins. Services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2006, 6:00PM, at Belfair Assembly of God church in Belfair, WA. A committal service will be Wednesday, May 3, 3:00PM, at Twin Firs Cemetery also in Belfair.
