Robert Walsh

Robert C. Walsh, 88 of Port Orchard, WA died February 3, 2008 at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA. He was born November 29, 1919 in South Colby, WA to Frank L. & Hazel L. Walsh. Robert attended schools in South Kitsap and West Seattle. He married Mary L Vales on February 11, 1940. Robert retired in 1972 from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He also worked for Gold Mountain Golf Course, Kitsap County Bank, and K-Mart. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1943. Robert enjoyed golf and wood working and was a Square Dance Caller for Square Steppers & Nispic High Steppers. Surviving are wife Mary; son Robert (Merrilynn) Walsh; daughters Nancy Walsh, Diane Murdock, Phyllis Walsh, Charlene (Clif) Boyce, and Cynthia (Rod) Hammond; sisters Francis (Luis) Valley, Dorothy Dworkin & Hazel (Albert) Buss; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank & Hazel Walsh and brother Lorrin (Barbara) Walsh. Visitation 4:00 to 7:00 pm February 6th at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Memorial Service at 10:00 am on February 7th, also at Rill's Life Tribute Center.
