Russell Crawford

Russell Lee Crawford, 77, died at his home in Port Orchard on June 22, 2011.  He was born November 4, 1933 in Ellensburg, WA to Stephen & Agnes (Jensen) Crawford.  He graduated from Eatonville High School in 1951 and married Roberta M. Philips in Tacoma, WA on April 4, 1959.  She preceded him in death in 2009. Russell worked for 37 years as a Shipfitter at PSNS, retiring in 1988.  He also served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1956 as part of the 21st Army Band.  He enjoyed music, bowling, leather working, gardening, fishing and carpentry. Surviving are sons Russ (Donna) of Anacortes,WA, Bill (Joan) of Snohomish, WA, John (Janet), George(Denise), Doug (Shawnda), all of Bremerton; daughter Cherie Crawford of Gig Harbor, WA; sisters Nelda (Bob) Anderson of Bellingham, WA, Marjorie (Sam) Liberatore of Kenmore, WA & Janet (Bob) Hart of Olympia, WA; grandchildren Daniel, David, Kasey, Zach, Emily, Tim, Hannah, Abby, Sam, Elizabeth & Sarah; great-grandchildren Brooke & Layden. Celebration of Life service 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard followed by burial at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
