William W. Robbins, 60 years young, passed away August 27th. Born in Lafayette, Indiana on December 24th, 1953.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Catherine May Robbins of Lake Placid, Florida; his brothers, Jim and Bruce of Bonita Springs, Florida; his brother, David of Fort Meyers, Florida; his wife, Susan; his son, William; and daughter, Lisa of Port Orchard, Washington.
He graduated from Twin Lakes High School in 1972. William joined the Navy on September 20th, 1973. Most of his time was spent onboard the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63). On September 19th, 1977, he was released from active duty with an honorable discharge.
He honorably retired from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard on January 2nd, 2009; after 34 years of service as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the Non-Destructive Test Division.
His hobbies included fishing, golfing, baseball, bowling, gardening, hunting for gemstones and faceting gemstones.
Bill's favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family.
