A. Weaver

A. June Weaver, 79 of Port Orchard, died in Bremerton on December 16, 2008.  She was born June 15, 1929 in Seattle, WA to Peter & Olga (Abrahamson) Petersen.  She graduated from South Kitsap HS and from Highline Community College in Des Moines, WA as a Licensed Practical Nurse.   June retired after working many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Harrison Medical Center and Life Care Center in Port Orchard and other facilities.  She liked to bake crochet and loved her pets.  She was a member of Eastern Star and Elim Lutheran Church, both in Port Orchard.  Surviving are husband Royce Weaver; sons John (Shirley) Herbert of Maple Valley, WA and Brian (Shannon) Herbert of Federal Way, WA; daughter Sonia (Dan) Ahrens of Olalla, WA; brothers Ralph (Barbara) Petersen and Richard (Lee) Petersen, both of Port Orchard; sister Carol Rodenberger of Port Orchard; grandchildren Tim, Chris & Nick Ahrens, James & Gary Burkhardt, Kelcie, Parker & Hannah Herbert, and Krysta Sanford. She was preceded in death by her parents, previous husbands, Uno Herbert & Lester Weaver and brother Raymond Petersen.  Public viewing will be Friday from 12 to 5 and Saturday from 9 to 1:00 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.  Celebration of Life service, 1:00 Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at Elim Lutheran Church in Port Orchard.  Inurnment at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.  Memorial donation to American Diabetes Association, Washington Affiliate, Inc., PMB 202, 8205 East Martin Way, Olympia, WA  98516-5769
