Adam Patton

Adam James Patton, 21, a resident of Port Orchard, was serving with the United States Army in Afghanistan, and was killed in action by an IED on May 26, 2011 in Kandahar Province. He was born November 13, 1989 in Cheboygen, MI to David and Sandra (Orr) Patton. He graduated from SKHS in Port Orchard in 2008 and enlisted in the Army. Motocross and soccer were his passions and he was very involved in ROTC while in High School. He enjoyed hanging out with his innumerable friends and family members. He stated that his reason for serving his country was that he wanted to make the world a better place. He was preceded in death by his father, David in 1995. Adam is survived by his mother Sandra and dad Greg Kottre; brother Sgt. Tim Patton, US Army of Fort Benning, GA; sisters Emily and Makenna Kottre and Jessica Foster of the family home; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation is Friday, June 3rd from 5 to 7 pm at Rill’s Life Tribute Center; mass is Saturday, June 4th at 1:30 pm at St Gabriels’ Catholic Church with Interment following at Sunset Lane Memorial Park approximately 2:30 pm.
