Adam Michael Rooks, 12, of Belfair, WA, died April 24, 2002, at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, WA, after an accidental fall at his home.Adam was born in Vancouver, WA, on August 14, 1989, to Dwayne and Tyla (Ferreira) Rooks.He was a 7th grader at Hawkins Middle School in Belfair, WA, where he played football and wrestled. Adam liked dirt bikes, playing Nintendo, and roller blading. He loved playing with little children and taking care of his younger sisters. When Adam grew up he wanted to be a pediatrician.Adam was baptized as a Catholic and attended Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair.Survivors include his father and stepmother Dwayne and Tanya Rooks, of Belfair; mother and stepfather Tyla and Ralph Nettles, of Belfair; brothers Anthony and Nicholas Rooks, both of Belfair; sisters Emily and Elisa Dickerhoof, and Sarah Nettles, all of Belfair; grandparents Alfred and Judy Ferreira, of Belfair, Tom and Patty Mooney, of Dayton, OR, Almus and Carol Larsen, of Camarillo, CA, Audrey Santangelo, of Port Orchard, WA, and Ralph Nettles, of Port Orchard.Viewing will be Sunday, April 28, 12 Noon to 3:00PM, at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.
