Agnes Crawford, 93, born in Ellensburg in 1907 to Helen and Jens Jensen, the first of 11 children, went home on a beautiful sunny fall day, November 15, 2000.She married Stephen E. Crawford on December 27, 1927, and spent the majority of her life raising their six children. She thoughly enjoyed the music that Steve and the family band played at many grange halls in the Tacoma/Eatonville area while the children were growing up. After her children were raised, she enjoyed bowling, her plants and flowers, playing bingo, sewing, reading and most of all, spending time with her children and many grandchildren. She was a member of the Washington Oldtimer Fiddler's Association, and a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress during her lifetime.She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen E. Crawford, and a son, George Crawford of Natoma, Kansas, her mother, father, 5 sisters, and 4 brothers.She will be greatly missed by her son, Russell Crawford and his wife, Roberta and daughters, Doris Ayleen Snyder and her husband Jim, Nelda Anderson and her husband Bob, Marjorie Liberatore and her husband Sam, and Janet Hart and her husband Bob. Also mourning her loss are her brother, Hans Jensen of Deary, Idaho, 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchilden, and many Nieces and Nephews.Funeral sevices for Agnes will be held at Rill Chapel, 1151 Mitchell Avenue Port Orchard, Washington on Saturday at 2:30 pm, on November 18, 2000. Memorial gifts may be made in her name to either Meals on Wheels in Bremerton, Washington, or Hospice of Pierce County.
