Albert Thumma

On October 5, 2011 Albert (Bud) O. Thumma went home to be Jesus. Born in Columbus, IN to Byron and Nellie Thumma on February 15,1925 who preceded him in death also a brother Frank. At age 13 his family moved to Port Orchard where he attended SKHS until joining the Navy in 1942, serving until 1946. He worked for SKSD as bus driver, later working at PSNS for 34 years. He also worked for the Port Orchard Post Office from 1980-1990 as well as the SK Mall until 2003. He also volunteered as a SK firefighter and for the Red Cross manning the first-aid booth at the Kitsap County Fair for 15 years. He was a member of South Park Assembly of God serving has a board member and Royal Ranger leader.   He is survived by the love of his life Josephine (Jo) whom he married on July 17,1950 and 4 children, Dan, Vicki Renee (Nelson), Doug (Debbie), and Peggy (Rob); grandchildren Donna, Samantha (Josh), Shane, Steven, Michelle, Cassandra, Michael; great-grandchildren Zakk, Zoie, Zaedyn, Presley, and Teighan; sister Thelma (Sugar) Claplanhoo. There are also numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at Christian Life Center 11:00 AM Monday Oct. 10th, reception following the services at CLC and will be concluded with graveside service at Sunset Lane Cemetery at 2:30PM
