Albert W. Lieseke

Albert W. ''Al'' Lieseke, 76 of Port Orchard, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on February 18, 2001. He was born in Everett, Washington on November 4, 1924 to Fritz & Mary (Nearhoff) Lieseke. Al graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard in 1942. He married Jeanne Bayless on April 21, 1946 in Port Orchard.Mr. Lieseke was self employed for 60 years, retiring in 1998. He was Owner/Operator of private ferries including Horluck Ferries, and Sinclair Tow Boat Company. Boats were his life and he loved hunting.Surviving are his wife Jeanne of Port Orchard; daughters Lana of Allyn, Washington, Marna of Ridgefield, Washington, Cynthia of Port Orchard, and Dana of Lynnwood, Washington; sister Linda Croix of Port Orchard; and 4 grandchildren.Public visitation will be from 12:00 Noon to 5:00pm, with a Celebration Gathering of Friends & Family from 3:00 to 5:00pm in the Hospitality Room, on Thursday February 22, 2001 at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.
