Alfred Mario Ardon

October 17, 1934 — August 11, 2023

Alfred Mario Ardon, known to many as "Al", passed away peacefully in his sleep.

Al was born on October 1934, to Margarita and Rodolfo Ardon in New York City. He was the third child for the couple, he had two sisters. Even though he was born in the States and raised in Costa Rica, sometimes as a boy he would travel to the States with his Dad while he was working, and stay with him. He was fluent in both English and Spanish.

After school he went into the Army. The first part he was stationed in Alaska, then he was transferred to Fort Lewis, WA. It was in Washington that he met his soulmate, Margaret.

They dated and were married at the Chapel at Fort Lewis. They went on to have 4 children together 2 daughters and 2 sons.

They primarily lived and raised their family in Southern California, then moved to Washington later.
Al loved working around his home, whether planting flowers, or constructing something, he loved working with his hands. Whatever he did he did it passionately; camping, ham radio, and traveling - whether it was flying, driving, or later cruising - he was always ready to go.

Family was always important to him. Many Family gatherings were held their home, bar-b-que’s, birthdays, holidays. The house was always filled with Love.

Al is preceded in death by his Father Rodolfo, his Mother Margarita, and Sister Helen.

He is survived by his wife: Margaret, children: Maryanne (Erroll) Duplesis, son Alfred G (Julia), David (Candy), Linda (Dale) Leible, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren,
as well as many extended family members.

Services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request a donation be made to the Wounded Warrior Project . in Alfred's name.
