Alfred 'Ted' Gray, 69, died in Bremerton, Washington on April 27, 1999. He was born March 17, 1930 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Alfred Earl & Thelma Alice (Brown) Gray and was raised in Alaska. Ted married Jean Salting on June 23, 1957 in Wasilla, Alaska. She preceded him in death in 1986.Mr. Gray served as a Firefighter in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a U. S. Marshall & Firefighter in Alaska; as a Firefighter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Naval Submarine Base Bangor; a Mechanic at Haselwood Buick/Pontiac from 1969 to 1980; and retired as a Security Officer from 1980 to 1994. He was a member of the Kitsap Way Denny's Old Timer's Coffee Club and West Sound Salmon Angler's Club.Surviving are son Michael E. Gray of Poulsbo; daughter Leona Molestad of Tacoma; grandchildren Elijah Meigs of Port Orchard, Stefanie & Lionel Davis and Paul Molestad, all of Tacoma.Graveside service Friday, May 7, 1999 at 11:00am at Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton.
