Alice Rivers

Alice Evelyn Rivers died September 30, 2003 at the Port Orchard Care Center in Port Orchard, Washington. She was 85.She was born December 22, 1917 in Lowell, Massachusetts to Thomas and Martha (Linke) Vloras.Alice married Robert Joseph Rivers May of 1945 in Manchester, New Hampshire.She worked in retail sales in Baltimore, Maryland for 30 years.Alice loved to sew; was a designer of dresses; and, adored her cats.She is survived by son - Robert W. Rivers (& wife, Wanda) of Port Orchard, Washington; sister - Dorothy Nemeth (& husband, Bill) of Laconia, New Hampshire; 2 grandchildren: Robyn and Kerri Rivers (both in Port Orchard).A graveside service will be held at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, Maryland at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2003.Memorial Donations may be made to:Alzheimer's Association12721 30th Ave. N.E. , Suite 101Seattle, WA 98125
