Alice Theroux

Alice H. Theroux, 94, died in Port Orchard August 20, 2011.  She was born June 7, 1917 in Jacksonville, IL to Chester & Lucretia (Woodman) Gaither.  She married Claude Thompson on August 4, 1939 in Missouri and Fred Theroux on September 15, 1989 in Reno, NV.  Both spouses preceded her in death. Alice worked for 30 years as a Registered Nurse at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, retiring in 1973.  She was a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries, TOPS, and the Red Hat Society.  She enjoyed traveling, golf, and her final years at Stafford Suites. Surviving are son James Thompson of Port Orchard; grandchildren Brandi, Brian & Ben; step-grandchildren Michelle, Jennifer, Angela, Megan, John, Monica & Barbara; and 20 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by special companion Bud Knight. Celebration of Life Service at 1:30 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.  Burial will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park, also in Port Orchard.
