Allan Rush Butcher, 66 of Port Orchard, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton on January 30, 1999. He was born March 22, 1932 in Seattle to Gary & Rebekah (Rush) Butcher. Allan was raised in Bremerton and graduated from Bremerton High School in 1952. He married Maxine Hurd on December 26, 1956 in Bremerton. Mr. Butcher served in the U. S. Marines from 1952 to 1955 and retired in 1977 from the U. S. Marine Corp Reserve. He worked as a Planner & Estimator for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard retiring in 1987. He was a member of Puget Apartment Operators Association. Surviving are his wife; sons Gary Butcher of Port Orchard & Michael Butcher of Edgewood, WA; daughters Debbie Wardell & Sandra Butcher, both of Seattle; sister Marian Weaver of Tamarack, Florida; and 7 grandchildren.Funeral Services Friday, February 5, 1999 at 3:00 PM at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.
