Allan Loken

June 23, 1930 — January 7, 2000

Allan Aubrey Loken, 69 of Manchester, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on January 7, 2000.  He was born on June 23, 1930 to Steffen & Olina (Falaas) Loken.  He was raised in Sacred Heart, Minnesota where he attended South Sacred Heart Grade School.  His education included the completion of his GED in the U.S. Air Force and course study at Olympic College in Bremerton for completion of the Apprentice Program at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 1966.  Allan married E. Jeanne Farman (Lane) on December 14, 1960 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.Mr. Loken worked for 25 years at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1986 as a Shipfitter in Shop 11.  He was owner and operator of the Windsor Hotel on 1st Street in Bremerton from 1965 to 1975.  From 1959 to 1960, he worked for Conley Chemical in Spokane.  Allan served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 as a Corporal and for the U. S. Air Force from 1956 to 1959, as an Airman 3rd Class stationed in Germany.Surviving are his wife; son Allan Loken, Jr. of Seattle, Washington; stepdaughter June (Lane) Keller of Bremerton, Washington; brother Edwin Loken of Hopkins, Minnesota; sisters Verna Gullickson and Ellenore Knutson, both of Granite Falls, Minnesota and Inga Hagen of Minnetonka, Minnesota; grandchildren Lane Keller of Cashmere, Washington and Amy (Keller) Pheasant of Bremerton, Washington; and 4 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, 2000 from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Friday, January 14, 2000 from 9:00am to service time at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.  Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm on January 14, 2000 at Rill Chapel.  Interment with full Military Honors, will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington at 2:30pm on January 18, 2000.
