Allan Wainwright

Allan H. Wainwright, 66 of Seabeck, Washington died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on May 19, 2001. He was born on January 13, 1935 in Providence, Rhode Island to Edward & Ada (Mabey) Wainwright. He graudated from Walla Walla High School in Walla Walla, Washington in 1953 and attended Washington State University. Allan married Mary E. Upham on June 12, 1960 in Tieton, Washington.Mr. Wainwright worked for 30 years at the Puget Sound Naval shipyard in Bremerton as an Administrative Assistant in data processing and as a Welder. He retired in 1990. Allan served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Corporal from 1954 to 1956. He was a former volunteer Fireman in Port Townsend and enjoyed the outdoors.Surviving are his wife Mary; son Scott of Belfair; daughter Michele Wainwright of Manchester, Washington; mother Ada Wainwright of Port Townsend; brother Gordon Wainwright of Monterey, California; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father Edward.Graveside Service will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard, Washington on May 24, 2001 at 2:00pm.
