Allen Cooper

Allen R. "Coop" Cooper died September 6, 2003 of lung cancer in Port Orchard, Washington. He was 66.He was born March 11, 1937 at Wolf Point, Montana to Joseph C. and Thelma L. (Sickels) Cooper.Allen married Jean (Bailey) Fox August 5, 1972 in Bremerton, Washington.He graduated from Bremerton High School in Bremerton, Washington in 1956.He served in the Army National Guard from 1959-1962; and, was an E5.Allen was owner/operator of the Port Orchard Exxon Service Station and Convenience Store for 18 years - retiring in 1994.He also worked for Safeway Stores for many years.Allen enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, boating.He is survived by his wife, Jean (Bailey) Cooper of the Manchester, Washington family home; sons - Mike Cooper and Brent Fox (both of Port Orchard), Jeff Fox of Springdale, AR, Craig Fox of Glendora, CA; daughters - Kristie Olsen of Redmond, WA., Cindy Hinds of Huntington Beach, CA.; brothers - Craig Cooper of Humptulips, WA., Joe Cooper, of Bremerton, WA., Pat Cooper of Bremerton, WA.; sisters - Laurie Skola of Bremerton, WA., Yvonne Linnabary of Everett, WA., Betty Monson of Bremerton, WA., and Lucille Polk of Gig Harbor, WA.; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews in Washington and Montana. He was preceded in death by: son - Terry E.
