Alta Harden

Alta Fay Harden died September 8, 2003 at Ridgmont Terrace in Port Orchard, Washington. She was 92.She was born January 25, 1911 in Phoenix, Arizona to George and Myrtle (Newby) Hurd.Alta married Thomas A. Hurd April 20, 1930 in Seattle, Washington. He preceded her in death in 1986.Alta was a homemaker. She was also a laundry worker at Washington Veterans Home at Retsil in the later 1920's. She is survived by son - Lawrence Harden of Port Orchard, Washington; daughter - Marilyn Boren of Greenville, South Carolina; 6 grandchildren (Ben E. Boren, Jeff Harden, Kevin Harden, John Kreutz, Kim Larman and Cindy Kreutz); 2 great-grandchildren ( Eric and Emily Boren). Alta was preceded in death by: brothers - Robert L. Hurd, Byron E. Hurd, Raymond G. Hurd, George H. Hurd.A funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2003 at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington.
