Amelia Julia Nalley

Amelia “Mimi” Julia Nalley, 91, died in Port Orchard on August 23, 2013. She was born December 14, 1921 in Hollywood, California to Alex & Catherine (Morbelli) Cuneo. She graduated from Hollywood High School in 1939 and married Robert L Nalley September 25, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1989.

Mimi worked as a Surgery Scheduler for more than 39 years making sure that staff had everything needed and patients felt loved and secure even under the most hectic circumstances.

The most important thing to Mimi was her family. She would give the biggest hugs and the warmest welcomes to anyone she came in contact with. She had the ability to make people feel that they were most important, and that left a lasting impression. Her specialty was giving advice in all life situations. There wasn’t anything she wasn’t willing to listen to and if she had it to give it was yours. Her generosity, selflessness and smile were some of the traits that made her so special to everyone around her. She was most happy when her family was together and she could see everyone happy.

Surviving are daughters Bobbie Muziani and Mary Jo Nalley; son John Nalley; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Stephanie Hawkins, brother Pete Cuneo, Sister Angie, and her parents.

Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 27th at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Graveside inurnment will follow at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
