Amy Pearl Stanford, 91, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2010 in Everett, WA. She is survived by her brothers, Rev. Frank J. and Clyde William Schoonover; children, Rev. Jon Stanford and Mary Ann Forester; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 nieces and a nephew; and many cousins and friends. Amy was born, May 6, 1918 in Mt. Dora, NM to Alma and Seley Schoonover. Seven years later the family moved to Amarillo, TX where she graduated from Shield of Faith High School. While attending the Assembly of God Church, she met Thomas Stanford, whom she married June 9, 1938. That year she and her husband, parents and brothers moved to the Northwest and eventually settled in Portland, OR. She retired from being an accounts receivable bookkeeper at the age of 72. Upon the death of her beloved husband, she moved to Everett, WA where she lived with her daughter for three years. In 2000 she moved to Port Orchard to live with her brother Frank. The church has always been an important part of her life. She considered the Pastor and friends at Christian Life Center as family. Memorial Service will be January 30, 2010, 2pm, at Christian Life Center, 1780 Lincoln Ave SE, Port Orchard, WA.
