Ann-Marie Legere

Ann-Marie Sheltra Legere, beloved daughter of Donald and Frances Sheltra (Springvale, Maine) went to her Lord on Friday, January 23rd after a valiant and courageous fight with cancer.  She was diagnosed with a brain tumor in October 2008.  Ann-Marie relocated to Port Orchard, WA in 1998 after the death of her husband James Robert (Bob) Legere.  Ann-Marie born on May 25, 1950 in Sanford, ME possessed a great spirit of adventure.  She and her husband took several "barefoot cruises", traveled to Australia and visited most of the Caribbean Islands.  As a hobby, Ann-Marie became an accomplished stained glass artist.  While in Port Orchard she worked as a dental assistant for several years and her latest employment was with Air Masters Inc. as office manager. Besides her Mom and Dad, Ann-Marie is survived by her special friend Dan Varick; brothers Rene of Lewiston, ME & Robert of Burien, WA; sisters Catherine Wadja of Chicopee, MA & Ellen Sheltra of Island Pond VT; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles. Yes, there are angels walking this earth!  Ann-Marie, Donald and Frances are truly grateful to the people of Hospice for Kitsap County for their dedication, care and prayerful help they offered them during this very trying time.  Thank you.
