Ann St. Cyr-Anderson

October 11, 1921 — March 15, 2013

Ann St. Cyr-Anderson, 91, of Gig Harbor, died March 15, 2013 at Ridgemont Terrace Nursing Home in Port Orchard. Ann was born October 11, 1921 in Sacramento, CA to Wade & Marie (Wentworth) Vanderpool and was the granddaughter of Oscar Swanson, a pioneer in the Gig Harbor area. Ann attended the Midway one room school house in Gig Harbor. She was a licensed cosmotoligist and owned two Styling salons, Sorrell's in Tacoma and Maple Hill in Gig Harbor. Not only were her salons the gateway to the community but she took great pride in knowing sign language and being able to communicate with her deaf clients. Ann loved the outdoors and enjoyed horses & geneology. On June 2, 1995 she married Lloyd Anderson in Gig Harbor. Survivors include her husband Lloyd, daughter Patty O'Neal, sisters Nettie Laycock, Dorothy Campbell & Sharon Jakeways, grandchildren Deborah Adkinson & Mike Strobel, Four great grandchildren & numerous great great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Private Interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery under the direction of Rill's Life Tribute Center.
