Anna K. Shannon, 65 of Belfair, Washington died at Port Orchard Care Center in Port Orchard, Washington on May 20, 2001. She was born on May 3, 1936 in Bad Hersfeld, Germany to Karl & Johanne (Hampe) Gerwig. She graduated from high school in Bad Hersfeld.Anna married John Shannon in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and her family.Surviving are her husband John; son Hans Gerwig of Garland, Texas; daughter Kathleen Wymer of Belfair, Washington; brother Peter Gerwig of Bad Hersfeld, Germany; sister Hannelore Webb of Gig Harbor, Washington and grandchild Karli Gerwig.Graveside Service will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington on Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at 11:30am.
