Anne Bodnar, 90 of Port Orchard, died in Seattle on June 21, 2010. She was born May 1, 1920 in Newark, NJ to Marek & Petronella (Smarz) Zmurkiewicz. She graduated from Upsala College in Newark in 1943 & Rutgers University in NJ in 1963. She married Gerald Basil Bodnar on September 15, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1985. Anne worked for NASA and FAA as a Computer Analyst in Ohio. She also worked as a Mathematician and Chemical Analyst. She enjoyed playing Bridge and belonged to a Bridge Club. Surviving are sons John (Mary Ellen) Bodnar of Annapolis, MD, Gerald (Lana) Bodnar of Mogadore, OH and Stephen Bodnar & Switgard Duesterloh of Kodiak,AK; grandchildren Lisa Ann Sauer, Lauren Kay Vagnone, Lars M. Bodnar, Claire E. Bodnar, Margaret R. Bodnar. She was preceded in death by daughter Paula L. Bodnar in 2007. Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard with viewing from 11:00 am to service. Burial following at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
