Anthony "Tony" Acocello, 90, passed away April 17th of natural causes. He was born August 21 1921 in Cincinnati Ohio to Dominick & Francis Acocello then moved to Los Angeles where graduated from Compton High. Tony severed in the US Navy from 1942-1945 as a Aviation Machinist, then moved to Bremerton, retiring from PSNS after 38 yrs as a welder. He met Mary Good in the navy yard where they quickly fell in love, married and were together for 50+ yrs. Mary passed in 2002. Tony is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Annie & Mary. Tony loved to be surrounded by happy people and little children were sure to put a smile on his face and sparkle in his eyes. He enjoyed sitting in the sun, listening to music. In his younger days he loved fishing, clam digging, hunting, shopping and watching his wife play the fiddle. We were blessed that he was cared for by Anita & Mike Vollenweider who shared his love of travel, movies, shopping and dining out. They devoted their lives and love to him, we are forever grateful. Tony is survived by his granddaughter Tracy Euteneier and family, his step daughter Lou Lovelace, niece Michele Johnson as well as many other loving family members, too many to list but you know who you are. A celebration on Tony's life will been at a later date.
