Anthony Burton

Anthony Derek Burton, 26, a Port Orchard resident died in Gig Harbor on October 15, 2009. He was born in Bremerton to Alfred and Rose M. (Collins) Burton on November 11, 1982. He graduated from South Kitsap HS in 2001 and attended Olympic College as well as ITT Tech College. He was a Journeyman Finish Carpenter and member of Carpenters Union #351 and United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local #816. Anthony enjoyed music of all varieties and was an accomplished musician,   playing five different instruments. He has a great passion for creating his own music, loved woodworking and also was a developed martial artist. He is survived by his spouse Candy Burton; Twin sons Marcel and Xavier Burton and stepson Caleb Jordan; parents Alfred and Rose M. Burton all of Port Orchard; brothers Alfred of Silverdale and Arelando of Port Angeles; one sister Althea of Seattle; grandmothers Thelma Burton of Oklahoma City, OK and Mary Collins of Sacramento, CA; niece Darrian Burton of Fallon, NV; nephews Matthew, Marshall and Mason Burton as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be Friday, October 23, 2009 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with Celebration of Life immediately following, both at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. There will be a reception following at the Port Orchard Church of Christ located on Carr Ave. Memorial donations may be made to Anthony D. Burton Memorial Fund C/O Althea Burton at any Bank of America.
