Anthony S. Lang of Port Orchard, Washington passed away at home surrounded by family on October 13, 2006. He was born September 9, 1923 in Austria to Joseph and Theresa Lang and immigrated to Quinton, Saskatchewan, Canada at the age of four and became a naturalized citizen of Canada. As a young adult he attended Western Washington University and ended up immigrating to the United States in 1958. He obtained a BS degree in Science from Western which led to his career as an EEG Technician. He was instrumental in opening the EEG Labs at Swedish, Northwest, and Providence Hospitals in Seattle. In 1969 he opened an EEG Lab in Bremerton in the Fourth Street Building. In 1971 he moved to Port Orchard with his family and purchased a home with acreage as he wanted his sons to experience some of the rural lifestyle he had as a boy. In 1977 he built the Sheridan Medical Clinic in East Bremerton where he had his own EEG office. He also opened an EEG Lab in Port Angeles. He continued to be an EEG Technician and was affiliated wit h Harrison Hospital and physicians throughout the Kitsap Peninsula. He monitored the brain during Cardio Vascular surgery at Harrison Hospital. He loved his work and spent 40 plus years in the profession. He finally retired in 2003 at the age of 80. Tony never met a stranger and made many friendships that lasted a lifetime. He was an avid hunter in his early days. He loved horses and had thoroughbreds that raced at the old Longacres Track, Emerald Downs and Portland Meadows. He also enjoyed going to the casino and was a frequent winner. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, two brothers and a sister; also his son James and granddaughter Jessica. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Lang, and former wife Joan Lang, son Daniel and his wife Patricia Lang; his daughters Lesley Rockney, and Dara Lane and husband Chris. Grandchildren: Christy Rockney-Sidhu, Corinna Lang, Lori Marie Lang, David Lang, Alicia, Nadia, and Talon Osterhout. Great Grandchildren: Alexandra, Austin, Savannah, God daughter: Kecia Doke (Jonathon), and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins throughout Canada.
