Ardith K. Pruissen of Port Orchard, Washington died in Port Orchard due to cancer. She was 87. She was born October 28, 1918 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Anna Brooks (Britten) and Earl Brooks. Ardith married William Pruissen December 28, 1961. She attended Mr. Lee's Cosmotologist College in Bremerton, Washington. Ardith worked as a cosmotologist and home caregiver for 30 years. She retired. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church; bowled for years on leaques; loved having get-togethers; was an excellent cook; traveled the states in motor home; cruised, also; enjoyed Bingo and favorite color was purple. Ardith is survived by husband - William Pruissen of Port Orchard, WA; sons - Larry Holman (Ardis) of Nampa, ID., Ronald Holman (Evelyn) of San Jose, CA; daughters - Sandra Elzie (Elmer) of Buckley, WA., Darlene Potter (Phillip) of Port Orchard, WA., Sherry Stenbak (Glen) of Gig Harbor, WA., Pamela Rushing (Laurence) of Tucson,AZ; brothers - Jack Brooks (Laurie) of Port Orchard, WA., Oliver Brooks of Belfair, WA., Richard Brooks of Port Orchard, WA.; sister - Jane Jansen of Appleton, WI; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; She was preceded in death by sister - Delores Brooks. A memorial service will be held at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Friday, August 25, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
