Arlene Fay Schultz, 71 of Tahuya, Washington died on January 29, 2007 in Silverdale, Washington. She was born on September 24, 1935 in Jamestown, North Dakota to Harold & Eva (Berg) Jordan. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1953 and married Walter Schultz in Bremerton on October 8, 1954. Arlene was a homemaker for 52 years in Poulsbo & Tahuya. She was known for making exquisite Santa Claus cookies every Christmas for friends and family. She also worked as a Physical Therapy Aide at the Winslow Convalescent Home. Arlene loved digging razor clams on the coast and in Alaska. She would get covered with sand up to her neck to get them! She enjoyed sightseeing, visiting historical homes & places, native art & history, wildlife, Yellowstone Park, the Badlands in North & South Dakota, Alaska, and the Alaskan Highway. Other interests included gardening, bird watching, ceramics, camping, and playing cards with family & friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren - especially playing games with them. Surviving are husband Walter of Tahuya; sons Gary (Shelli) Schultz of Poulsbo, Washington and Wesley Schultz of Suquamish, Washington; daughter Debbie Eaton (Doug Spore) of Bremerton; sister Beverly (Joe) Jolley of Port Orchard; and grandchildren Ben, Wes, Krystal, Chelsea, Jordan, Cortney, and Jillyann. She was preceded in death by sisters Lorraine, Betty & Geraldine, and brothers Leroy & Larry. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park, also in Port Orchard. Memorial donations may be made in Arlene's memory to the Alzheimers Association, 12721 30th Avenue NE, Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98125.
