Armand Gerald Cyr, 64, of Port Orchard, WA passed away Thursday morning, July 24, 2014.
Armand was born in Maine, on November 25, 1949 to the late Leonide and Albertine Cyr. Armand graduated in 1968 from Bassick High School in Bridgeport, CT. Armand is a US veteran and served faithfully in the Air Force for four years, and served over twenty years in the civil service. He married Karen Cyr in Vacaville, California on February 19, 1972.
Armand was a beloved member of the community and Crossroads church. He frequently could be found building train layouts and participating in the local Pacific Coast Region of the National Model Railroad Association, Northwest division.
Armand is survived by two children, Armand Albert and Aaron Cyr and their wives Melanie and Rebekah. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Cameron, Shaun, Adrian, Zechariah and Adrianna. Armand is also survived by his eight siblings, Mona Cyr, Jeannette Sebastian, Robert Cyr, Rachel St. Onge, Roger Cyr, Jackie Gatchell, Paul Cyr and the late Ronald Cyr.
A private family viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 30. This will be followed by a memorial service to celebrate his life at Crossroads church on Friday, August 1st, 2014 at 6:00pm.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, a donation fund has been set up to support his surviving family in unforeseen expenses.
