Arthur Flies

Arthur J. Flies, 85 of Bremerton, Washington, formerly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on January 31, 2008 at Life Care Center in Port Orchard. He was born to Martha & Joe Flies in Watopa, Minnesota. Arthur served in the U.S. Army during World War II, Korea & Vietnam. After his retirement in 1965, he and his wife Margaret lived in Colorado Springs for 40 years. When Margaret passed away in 2003, he moved to Bremerton to be near his only child, Gitta Price. He is preceded in death by his mother in 1979, father in 1981, wife Margaret, and brothers Robert & Johnny. He is survived by his daughter Gitta (Steve) Price; brothers Joe (Betty) Flies & Donald (Diane) Flies; sister Margaret Hillesheim; 4 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm on Friday February 8, 2008 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Burial next to his loving wife Margaret will be at 1:30pm on February 12th at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado, with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson's Foundation or charity of choice.
