Arthur Allen Ives, 96 of Bremerton, died on November 4, 2010. He was born July 14, 1914 in Detroit, MI to Charles & Pearl (Baumgartner) Ives. He married Marjorie Lois Collins on November 10, 1939 in Grand Coulee, WA. Arthur was the owner & operator of Ives Sawmill in Port Orchard. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He belonged to a Ham Radio Club, liked animals, walking in the woods, and loved his family. Surviving are wife Marjorie of 71 years; son Frederick (Marty) Ives of Portland, OR; daughters Sarah Isaac of Clinton, IL and Dorothy Ives of Port Orchard; sisters Marjorie Terpening of Long View, WA & Beulah Smith of Eagle Point, OR; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters Lena Day & Dorothy West and brother Claude Ives. Viewing on Friday, November 12, 2010 from Noon to 4:30 pm at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 13, 2010, also at Rill's Life Tribute Center and followed by burial at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
