Arthur Lee Mikelsen

Arthur Lee Mikelsen , 67, of Port Orchard died unexpectedly following surgery on October 25, 2013. He was born May 28, 1946 in Bremerton, WA to Arthur M. and Alice (Treo) Mikelsen. He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1964 and earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington in 1982.
Arthur Lee married his high school sweetheart, Elaine Smith, March 5, 1966 in Tacoma, WA. Arthur Lee was a lifelong resident of Port Orchard where he and Elaine raised 3 children: Joette (John) Jindra, Trish (Michael) Nervik, and Mike Mikelsen.
Arthur Lee retired in 2012 from Puget Sound Energy as an Efficiency Engineer. He also worked for Art Anderson Assoc. and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
Arthur Lee enjoyed fishing with his family and friends, hunting and vintage cars. He enjoyed spending time with his 7 grandchildren: Erik, Eli, Abigail, Mark, Jack, Hana and Kody.
He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren; parents Arthur M. and Alice (Treo) Mikelsen; sister Susan (Paul) Page; brother Larry (Cindy) Mikelsen and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial to be held at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on November 7, 2013 at 2:00pm.
Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project in Arthur’s name.
