Arthur Joseph Montalvo, 71, a resident of Port Orchard, died at St. Anthony’s form complications of ALS. He was born in San Francisco, CA on November 1, 1939 Arthur and Frances (Mateo) Montalvo. Arthur attended Jefferson high School in Daly City, CA and later Olympic College in Bremerton. He married Elaine Howell on July 20, 1963 in San Francisco. Arthur served in the US Navy from 1957 to 1960 when he was honorably discharged. and was on the USS Bon Homme Richard. He worked as a welder at PSNS for 40 years, retiring in 1999. He attended of St Gabriel’s Catholic Church. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. He loved walking, dancing and spending time with his children, grandchildren other family members and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Elaine; son Art Montalvo (Theresa) and daughter Cynthia Montalvo; 4 grandchildren David, Brandon, Michael and Rebekah Montalvo. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 4:30 pm with a reception following both at Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center. Donations may be made to the ALS Foundation, P. O.
