Asbery M ''Lee'' Parker 83, of Port Orchard, Washington died July 4, 2000 in Bremerton, Washington. Mr. Parker was born September 6, 1916 in Opp, Alabama to Joseph and Anna (Curby) Parker.He married Evelyn J. (Sheets) Parker, June 15, 1940 in Tillamook, Oregon. Asbery was a welder for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 25 years before retiring in 1971.Mr. Parkers interests were playing horseshoes and he enjoyed ballroom dancing. Asbery is survived by his wife Evelyn, son; Allyn Lee Parker of Vancouver, Washington, daughters; Lynda Brooks of Gig Harbor, Washington and Holly Anderson of Port Orchard, Washington; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.Services will be July 11, 2000 at 11:00 am at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, Washington. With inurnment at Sunset Lane Cemetery.
