Asuncion E. Nebres, 79, a resident of Port Orchard, died in Los Angeles while visiting family on August 24, 2009. She was born in Manila, Philippines on August 3, 1930 to Marcus and Ceriaca (Tabafunda) Eslava. She married Felipe Nebres in Manilla on May 31, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1998. She was a homemaker and loved being with family and friends, gardening, fishing, cooking and watching her favorite Filipino television shows. She was a Christian and member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. She is survived by her sons Cipriano Nebres (Beatriz) and Fiel Nebres (Imee); daughters Lilia Garcia (Felix), Emma Fontillas (Nestor) and Bada Dela Cruz (Manny); 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Saturday, August 29th from noon to 7:00pm and Monday, August 31 from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Celebration of Life will be Monday, August 31 at 1:30 all at Rill’s Life Tribute Center of Port Orchard. Interment following service at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
