Pastor Aurelius A. Gronberg, Age: 91, died on October 30, 2001 at Providence Mt. St. Vincent NSG Center, Seattle, Washington.Pastor Gronberg was born on April 24, 1910 in Sandstone, Minnesota to the Reverend Carl and Anna Amelia(Moberg)Gronberg.He graduated from college and Lutheran Seminary. On September 28, 1934, Aurelius married Esther Peterson. She preceded him in death in 1974.Their main residence was in Port Orchard, Washington. He was Pastor of Elim Lutheran Church in Port Orchard from 1947 until 1959. He was also Director of Lutheran Compass Center and Millionaire Club Charity; both of Seattle, Washington.Pastor Gronberg was a Lutheran Minister; a member of the Port Orchard Kiwanis Club and the Seattle Lions Club. Survivors include his son, Karl and Daughter-in-Law, Sharon Gronberg of Austin, Texas; Son-in-Law, Albert Drackert of Seattle; sister, Aurora Vassberg of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther, and a daughter, Anna Marie Drackert.Public viewing is scheduled on Saturday, November 3, 2001, at Rill Chapel, Port Orchard, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.. Interment is scheduled at 3:00 p.m., 11-03-2001 at Sunset Lane Cemetery.All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home and Crematory.
