Barbara Heritage

Barbara Jo Heritage, 42, formerly of Spokane, WA, died at her home in Bremerton, WA, on January 14, 2003. She was born May 27, 1960, in Spokane to Richard and Betty Jo (Turner) Maine. She graduated from Mead High School in 1978 and later from Columbia Christian College in Portland, OR, with a Medical Secretary Degree.Barbara married Stuart Heritage on August 8, 1987, in Spokane. She lived in Washington, DC, Germany, Portland, Spokane, and Bremerton with Stuart as he traveled with his career in the Army. She sang with the Bremerton Symphony Chorale and enjoyed karaoke, winning numerous contests. Barbara loved crafts, quilting, and spending quality time with her family. She belonged to the Central Valley Church of Christ in Silverdale, WA.Barbara is survived by her husband Stuart, of Bremerton; son Jason, of Bremerton; daughters Jennifer and Ashley, of Bremerton; parents Richard and Betty Jo Maine, of Spokane; brother Jon Maine, of Tri Cities, WA; sisters Terry Kenny, of Cheyenne, WY, and Carol Maine, of Spokane.A memorial service will be held Monday, January 20, 3:00PM, at Hillcrest Assembly in Bremerton. A funeral service will be Friday, January 24, 1:00PM, at North Side Church of Christ in Spokane with burial following at Greenwood Cemetery.Memorial donations can be made to the Barbara Heritage Memorial Fund, c/o Minuteman Credit Union, Camp Murray, WA 98435.
