Barbara Jean Lindell

Barbara Jean Lindell (McLarty), 87 years old, of Port Orchard, WA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Gig Harbor, WA.

Barbara was born on June 8, 1937, in Atlanta Georgia to Sarah McLarty (Godby) and Robert McLarty.

Barbara moved from Georgia to Bremerton, WA in 1961 with her husband and daughter.

Shortly thereafter they would relocate to Port Orchard, WA., to buy a home and add onto their family where they lived out their years together in Washington State. Together through it all, they were married for 46 wonderful years until his passing.

Barbara was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed being a caring wife and loving Mother.

Barbara was proceeded in death by her beloved Husband, Richard and her mom & dad and 4 brothers.

She is survived by her three children: Cheryl (Lindell) Gwin, Donna (Lindell) Haden, and Michelle Lindell. She had 4 Grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her only sister Diane (McLarty) Burge of Lithia Springs, Georgia.

Barbara was laid to rest on January 2, 2025, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington with her husband Richard.
