Barbara Ruth Page, born on March 4, 1955, in Glendale, California, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, in Port Orchard, Washington. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, remembered for her unwavering faith and the joy she brought to those around her.
Barbara graduated from Point Loma Nazarene College with a degree in child development and spent her early years as a preschool teacher. She later became a dedicated bookkeeper for Bradley Scott Real Estate, but her true passion lay in nurturing her family. Barbara loved nothing more than spending time with her husband, Roger, and their children—Ruth King, Joseph Page, and Amanda Estabrook—as well as her cherished grandchildren: Grace, Glory, Isabella, Nathaniel, Naomi, Elijah, and Isaiah.
An avid singer, Barbara found great joy in sharing her voice with others, whether it was in the choir at Breath of Aire or during church services. She enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitching, often creating beautiful gifts for her loved ones. Walking in nature and spending time with her dog, Zippy, brought her peace and happiness.
Barbara's warm heart and kind spirit were evident in her daily life. She hoped to be remembered as someone who exhibited the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Her motto, “Commit, Trust, Delight, and Rest in Jesus Christ,” served as a guiding light for her and inspired many.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Roger, her children, her grandchildren, and her brother, David Vess. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 25th, at Lifepoint Church in Bremerton.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to either the Church of the Nazarene, the Foundation for Women's Cancer, or the Ovarian Cancer Research Association in Barbara’s name.
